18 Simple Lessons to Help You Grow Your Network Marketing Business.

Do you want to start a network marketing business, build your team, and grow effortlessly? If YES, here are 18 simple lessons on how to grow and build your network marketing business.

Network Marketing is an easy and cheap business that you can start right from the comfort of your home. Like most businesses, network marketing involves the selling of your products or services. However, an additional perk of this line of business is that you can assist others to start their own business and earn an income off their sales volume as well.

# 1: Success = Skills + Activity + Sustained Period of Time.

To succeed in network marketing, you need to master a few basic skills. As you do that, you need to be persistent and consistent, reaching out to minimum five to ten new prospects daily. Finally, you need to stay in the trenches for two to five YEARS to build a really big team.

# 2: If you want to be successful in MLM study someone who is already successful.

Successful people find mentors who have accomplished what they are trying to do and then they follow that person’s lead. Find someone in your upline who has achieved the level of success you desire and get in their hip pocket. Ask them questions, seek their counsel and learn from them. And, make sure you do what they teach you! Stay humble, stay coachable and stay hungry!

# 3: Work the Numbers.

Most people you talk to will not buy or join. Most people who do join your team will do nothing and quit. You cannot change that. Your goal is to work through the numbers, treat people well, build solid relationships and work with the willing. The good news is you only need a few who “get it” to build a large team.

# 4: Set high standards and focus on continuous improvement.

Set high standards for yourself and try to get a little bit better every single day. You will never be perfect, but you can improve daily. Expect the best, make a plan, work hard and keep improving what you do. Over a period of time, you can become a completely different (and better) person.

# 5: You must take consistent massive action.

If you work a little bit, you will make a little money. If you go beast mode and take all out massive action, you will build a huge business and make a lot of money. However, you must do it consistently and avoid starting and stopping.

# 6: Even a donkey can lead you to a stallion.

Everyone knows a winner. Everyone you talk with can lead you to your next superstar. This is why tap-rooting is so important. Build depth. Your best leaders will normally show up in depth.

# 7: Sometimes your best people will do very little for their first few years in the business.

Some people join, sit around for a few years, and do very little with the business before they make the decision to build it big. You never really know who will do it and who won’t. People will fool you.

Your job is to get them in, keep them in and move them along. Also, keep in mind many people are incubating, but if you treat them well and never pressure them, there is a good chance they will eventually get to work.

Just don’t make the mistake of sitting around and waiting for them.

# 8: Width gives you immediate profitability and depth gives you the big money and long-term security.

To build a stable, long-term income with your company you need to drive your legs DEEP; very deep. The deeper you can build each leg in your group, the more leaders you will find, and the more stable your business will be. Ultimately, you want leaders backed by leaders backed by leaders.

# 9: Everyone has a number.

Your number is the number of people you will have to personally recruit to build up a large team. This number varies from person to person. I don’t know what your number is, but it will probably be somewhere between 100 and 300 people.

That sounds like a lot, but if you can learn to recruit 2-4 people per month, every month, you could accomplish this in several years.

# 10: You never really know who your Aces will be or when they will show up.

People will fool you. The people you think will do great normally don’t do much with the business, and the people you often think don’t have a chance can do great things. Love on everyone. Encourage everyone. Treat everyone well. When the leader identifies themselves you will know it.

# 11: Light a fire in the basement to motivate everyone in your team.

The best way to motivate your MLM Team is to work in depth. When you find an excited distributor on the 10th level in your group, as an example, it motivates everyone on the nine levels above them! This is how you work smart in your business.

# 12: Your ideal prospect has a job, some disposable income, and is ready to make some major changes in their lives.

In most cases, people who need the business will never build a business. Your best prospects have a good self image and a stable income, yet they want more out of life. Look for people who WANT the business, not NEED it.

# 13: Sponsor people in your own backyard.

Building your team locally is a smart move. There are tons of great prospects in your own back yard. Build locally and your team will naturally expand nationally and internationally.

# 14: Amateurs sell and professionals sort.

Most new network marketers think they have to sell and convince people. Nothing is further from the truth. If you are selling and convincing people, they will quit just as fast as they join. That’s why your job is to share information and sort through people. Look for people who are looking!

# 15: You want 3-10 well trained Generals on your team.

Ultimately, you want three to ten different people (personally sponsored or not) who are serious about the business. Once you find these people you want to mentor them and help them build their own Army of reps and customers.

# 16: You must sow before you reap.

This is a simple lesson from the Bible, but it also pertains to network marketing. You have to put in the work before you can reap the harvest.

# 17: Your best people might take you years to recruit.

Sometimes your best prospects will take you several years of consistent follow up before they decide to get involved and join your team. Stay in touch. Never use pressure or hype. Remember, your prospects join when THEY are ready to do so, not necessarily when YOU want them to.

# 18: Fear of loss is greater than the fear of gain.

Every decision is based on pain or pleasure. That’s it. Keep in mind that most people will do more to avoid pain than they will to seek pleasure. Always show people what they have to LOSE by not becoming a customer or joining your team.
